Foam Wing Midge

No comments yet

Midge patterns can be fun to tie, especially easier ones that work well on the water! As part of my "Two Minute Tying" series, this Foam Wing Midge is a simple pattern that I carry in few colors, yet it produces more often than not. During this video, I share my tying procedures first, and then talk more about the pattern in detail.

Thanks go out to Allen Fly Fishing for the use of their N304 fly tying hooks; you can find those hooks and more at the following link: http://www.allenflyfishing.com/n304/

Thanks for viewing this YouTube fly tying tutorial, and I encourage you to view my additional videos at the following website: http://www.troutandfeather.com

I'd love to hear from you regarding your favorite midge patterns; please leave any in the "Comments" section below. Feel free to leave any additional questions/comments on this YouTube page, or you can email me: tcammisa@gmail.com

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
See more details about what you can do to help in this blog post.

The Global FlyFisher was updated to a new publishing system early March 2025, and there may still be a few glitches while the last bits get fixed. If you meet anything that doesn't work, please let me know.
