Here we will be tying the fly Blóðormur Slim (Slim Bloodworm). The fly is a great option for both stream and lake fishing and catches both brown trout and arctic char. The Blóðormur has been around for a long long time in many forms. When the fish becomes picky it's often important to grade down the size of the flies used. The Blóðormur pupa is imitating the pupa stage of the Chironomidae fly. That pupa in nature looks red or even slightly red to brown. It's very simple to tie and an amazingly successful fly, totally worth keeping a few in your box when you go fishing.
