The Lightning Bug is a simple nymph pattern that I've had quite a bit of success using. This is a simpler version (Orvis version?) than one designed by Garry Stacker which includes a flashback and legs.
This pattern has worked quite well for trout, Arctic graying, perch, and sunfish. The fly has tons of reflective metallic surfaces and a delicious looking profile.
