Preben's influence on Danish flyfishing and flytying cannot be overestimated. He was indeed the Grand old Man amongst Danish fly anglers. We are honered that he wanted to contribute to this site.

Preben Torp Jacobsen is one of the few internationally known fly tyers and fishers from Denmark. He is somewhat a living legend, and a person that most Danish and many foreign fly fishers will know. Torp, who has written several now classic books in Danish on the subjects of fishing and tying a fly, recently published a book in English - "Flies from the Flyleaves of my Diaries" - in which he tells about people and flies from a long life with fly fishing.
Having material from Preben Torp Jacobsen on these pages is an honor. I'm thankful that he wants to participate and thankful to Søren Glerup who established the contact.
