The forums are very quiet

The Global FlyFisher forum has existed for almost as long as the site, and the oldest posts are more than 20 years old. Forums aren't what they used to be. Social media has taken over a lot of their roles, and the GFF form is very quiet ... to put it mildly.
We keep everything online for the sake of history, and preserve the posts for as long as possible, but as you will see, quite a few of them aren't in a good shape, but rely on old images hosted elsewhere, which are no longer available, odd codes from old systems and much more, which can't be shown in a decent way.
But the posts are here, and you can - if you insist - start new threads. But don't stay awake waiting for replies, because they are unfortunately few and far apart.

Hi guys,

Awesome site. The link to the Gold Nugget Stonefly is not working. Not sure if it is me or not. Just wasn't sure how to report it to you.

Small world. I was born in Wellsville, NY and another member is from there. I'm going to get back there to fish soon, I have fished Oatka creek and Spring Creek in western NY. It is interesting how there are connections on a site Originating in Copenhagen. Tight Lines...

Thanks so much for getting it up and going again, Where should we report bugs such as this in the future? This site is really a blessing to me as I am able to get on the rivers again and develop a few new techniques.

Carlisleny,

We would love to know about bugs on the site. I have recently change some of the programs that runs the site, and I know that I have introduced some errors. Any help in finding them is greatly appreciated.

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
See more details about what you can do to help in this blog post.

The Global FlyFisher was updated to a new publishing system early March 2025, and there may still be a few glitches while the last bits get fixed. If you meet anything that doesn't work, please let me know.
