The Global FlyFisher

Simply the Best Place to go for Online Fly Fishing and Fly Tying
Jul 25. 2018

Being the hottest and driest summer in decades here in Denmark, fishing is basically standing still. I see a few mackerel being caught, a mullet or two and some nice sea trout for those who get up really early - or stay out all through the night. The streams are lacking water and getting warmer, so salmon and sea trout fishing is also slow, and even closed down in some streams. I personally use the water to swim in and stay as still as possible in the shade.
A few articles have been added to the site, and more are on the way, including a couple of book reviews. The number of videos is as always increasing, and closing in on 9,000 now!
Fishing will get better as the water cools down in a month or two, and publishing will also increase in rate when temperatures fall a bit.
Until then, here's a bit to read and watch.

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
See more details about what you can do to help in this blog post.

The Global FlyFisher was updated to a new publishing system early March 2025, and there may still be a few glitches while the last bits get fixed. If you meet anything that doesn't work, please let me know.
