Hello everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is my first post in this great international fly fishing forum.
I would like to read your comments about a pattern I designed some years ago. I call it "The Zarabanda" (the riot!!".
Please rip it apart!!!! Feedback from experienced flyfishers is what I need.
I use it for rainbows & browns in lakes and streams here in central Mexico with good results. I've even caught largemouth black bass with it (in larger hook sizes).
It swims "hook up" due to my placing a counterweight on the bend so it's practically weedless.

Thanks for your kind words!!!!!!!!
Donôt you worry, Iôll keep on posting my flies so all of you can dissect them!!!!!!!!!
Here in Mexico I have very little feedback from really experienced tyers. I'm probably the most experienced fly tyer (or as my wife says "tie flyer"!!!!!!) in Central Mexico.
May you have a very merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carlos,
Carlos,
No need to rip your fly apart. It obviously works - and looks good too. Very much like a damsel nymph actually. Nice work!

Carlos,
Carlos,
Thats a nice pattern, quite unique! I think the fish might take it for a damsel nymph but more likely for a dragonfly nymph.
Keep posting the patterns, It will be very interesting to see some more Mexican patterns.
Best
